About The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT)
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) manages the electric power grid for 75% of land area and 85% of the electric load the state of Texas. ERCOT is a non-profit organization with an oversight committee at the Public Utility Commission of Texas which regulates the standards, operating procedures and operating costs among other things.
