Rockbrook at Sunset. This photo of the Rockbrook tower in Lewisville, Texas was taken on Saturday October 8, 2005 at 6:25 P.M. by N5XKB and N5AMF. The 1,027 foot tower, located near Vista Ridge Mall, is used by commercial broadcasters two-radio radio and cellular systems. Get more information about the tower from the FCC ASR database.
Rocky Top. This photo is of the antenna structure situated 850 feet above midtown Manhattan on top of the GE Building at Rockefeller Center [more] in New York City. N5XKB and N5AMF snapped this picture in November 2005 while visiting the Top Of The Rock observation area-- also at the top of the GE Building. The GE Building is home to the studios for NBC Nightly News, Dateline NBC, NBC Sports, WNBC Channel 4, Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
High on the Mountain Top. N5AMF, Amy Fincher, took this photo of the antenna structure near the 14,117 foot summit of Pikes Peak during her visit on April 8, 2006. Pikes Peak is a mountain in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, 10 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Amy was able to snap this photo after a ride to the top of Pikes Peak on the Manitou and Pike's Peak Railway - a cog railway that runs from Manitou Springs to the summit of Pikes Peak each year from April until December.
Big John. The John Hancock Center located at 875 N Michigan Avenue in Chicago, IL on July 24, 2006. N5XKB, Craig Fincher, took this photo of the John Hancock Center with Lake Michigan in the background while he and N5AMF, Amy Fincher, visited the observation deck on the 103rd floor of another famous Chicago skyscraper-- the Sears Tower. The antenna structures [East Tower] [West Tower] at the top of the John Hancock Center reach 1,500 feet above the city of Chicago.
